Coolsculpt is nothing compared to Emsculpt – find out more here…..

The introduction of non-invasive fat removal technologies is opening the door for more people, who may not be ideal candidates for liposuction, to remove stubborn fat, safely and effectively. Women post-partum are often especially eager to get their body back to the way it used to look.

Being pregnant, and giving birth, affects your body. Specifically, diastasis recti, is a common condition that affects women after pregnancy, in which the abdominal muscles are pushed farther apart, causing the belly to appear larger and rounder.

Emsculpt and CoolSculpting® are both marketed as technologies designed to get your body back to your desired size and shape after pregnancy. Both options are non-surgical, scientifically-proven ways to reduce fat. However, only Emsculpt not only destroys fat cells, but simultaneously builds muscle fibers for more defined muscles.

Emsculpt and CoolSculpting® are both alternatives to the invasive tummy tuck surgery. After pregnancy, many women are instructed not to exercise their abdomen, because the rectus sheath has been so thinned out. And, when they do exercise, it increases the inter-abdominal pressure, and that pushes on the muscle, thinning it even more.[i] So, how do these two technologies work and which one is right for you?

CoolSculpting® uses Cryolipolysis to lower the temperature of the fat cells in the area being treated while protecting the skin, muscles, vessels and nerves. The fat cells are damaged by the cold and go through a cell death called apoptosis. The damaged cells are then removed from the body naturally. At one time the applicator can reduce the fat in the area being treated by up to 23%. As this is a cell death, the reduction of the fat cells is considered permanent as long as your body weight remains about the same.

On the other hand, Emsculpt reduces fat and builds muscles. Emsculpt works using a non-invasive HIFEM® procedure which uses high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy to trigger what’s called supramaximal contractions, not achievable through voluntary contractions.[ii] Each 30-minute Emsculpt session produces nearly 20,000 muscle contractions. When exposed to strong contractions, the muscle tissue is forced to adapt to such extreme condition. It responds with a deep remodeling of its inner structure that results in muscle building and sculpting your body. [iii] This highly intense engagement of the muscles that causes the overlying fat cells to be over stimulated and become overloaded and die. They are then removed from the body naturally.

Emsculpt studies have shown by MRI, ultrasound and CT scan, an increase in the muscle bulk by up to 19% with a reduction in the fat cells overlying this muscle by up to 22%. One company-sponsored study reported a 10 percent reduction in diastasis recti, after using Emsculpt.[iv] This is because Emsculpt can target the very muscles that are affected during pregnancy, prompting them to strengthen and grow.

Come in to Slender Me Medical and see how simple it is; our experienced technicians will get you hooked up to a machine, and then you can sit back and relax as Emsculpt emits electromagnetic pulses that strengthen your muscle fibers and burn unwanted fat.

Emsculpt recommends that users do four 30-minute sessions over a two-week period for optimal results. Interestingly, though, the company says best results aren’t seen until three months post-treatment. It also says you will see continued improvement up until the six-month mark. They report an impressive 96% patient satisfaction[v]

As a nonsurgical fat-reducing technology, Emsculpt is an excellent supplement to an active, healthy lifestyle.
