Hormone Replacement Therapy in Corona, CA

Hormone replacement is not a wellness product and it is not one protocol for every patient. It is a medical treatment: the right hormones, the right route, and someone who adjusts the dose when it is not working.

This is not one program for everyone

Women in perimenopause and menopause and men with low testosterone need different workups. We do not use one mixed symptom list.

• Women: estradiol, progesterone, vaginal estrogen, and testosterone when indicated. Menopause & perimenopause care
• Men: morning labs, a fertility conversation, and ongoing monitoring. Testosterone therapy
• Midsection weight: Menopause weight gain — HRT is not a weight-loss drug.

Who this is for

• Women in peri/menopause who were told their labs are normal or to wait it out
• Men with low-T symptoms who want labs and monitoring
• Anyone who tried HRT, felt worse or no different, and stopped — usually a dosing or delivery problem
• Patients who cannot get to Corona or Scottsdale and live in a state where I am licensed for telehealth

You do not have to wait until your periods stop. You do not have to have an abnormal lab. You do have to be followed.

Who this is not for

• Anyone wanting a one-time prescription with no follow-up
• Anyone who needs a primary care provider — we manage hormones, we do not replace primary care
• Anyone for whom HRT is not appropriate — we would rather say no at the consult

What we actually prescribe

“Bioidentical” should mean the molecule matches what the body produced. Estradiol and micronized progesterone from a regular pharmacy count. The word does not make pellets the default.

We start with commercial products when they fit. The foundation is typically a transdermal estradiol patch plus oral micronized progesterone; the patch is often billed to insurance by the pharmacy. Compounded hormones require Concierge membership or higher.

Delivery options include patch, gel, or spray; oral; vaginal estrogen; injections (common for men); and pellets, which are convenient but not adjustable once placed.

How we evaluate

History first, then labs. Our default is venous blood, typically through Quest. Saliva testing is not our standard panel.

Women: thyroid, iron/ferritin, CBC, vitamin D, metabolic markers, and hormones where informative. Related reading: Lab values don’t tell the whole story of hormone imbalance.

Men: morning testosterone with a confirmatory morning sample, free testosterone, LH, FSH, estradiol, prolactin, and CBC, plus thyroid and a sleep apnea screen.

Telehealth hormone replacement

Estradiol and progesterone are not controlled substances. Testosterone is Schedule III. I treat by telehealth only in the states where I am licensed. Please confirm your state before booking.

The consult is $125 for 60 minutes. It is a workup, not a first-hour prescription, and the fee is credited if you enroll. Book your telehealth consult.

What happens after the consult

Care is membership-based because titration matters.

• Foundation: commercial products, typically generic estrogen patches (usually billed to insurance at the pharmacy) plus oral progesterone.
• Compounded hormones: Concierge membership or higher.

Important safety information

Women: hormone therapy is generally avoided with breast cancer or certain hormone-sensitive cancers, unexplained vaginal bleeding, a history of clots or stroke, or active liver disease. Estrogen without progesterone, when the uterus is present, raises the risk of endometrial cancer.

Men: testosterone is not appropriate with prostate cancer or male breast cancer, and requires caution with significant heart disease, untreated sleep apnea, or high red blood cell counts. It suppresses sperm production.

Women on testosterone: possible acne, hair growth, and irreversible voice change at higher doses.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do HRT by telehealth? Yes, if I am licensed in your state. Testosterone also depends on state rules — confirm before you pay.

Do I have to come to Corona? No. You can be seen in Scottsdale, or by telehealth where I am licensed.

What does the $125 include? A 60-minute history, a decision about whether HRT is appropriate, and labs ordered. It is not a prescription visit.

Do you use saliva testing? It is not our default.

What about BHRT or pellets? A patch plus oral progesterone is often enough. Pellets are one option and are not adjustable once placed.

Will HRT help me lose weight? Not on its own. See menopause weight gain.

Do you take insurance? We are cash-pay; some labs and pharmacy benefits may still apply.
