Get Started On Your Weight Loss Journey Today
Medical weight loss, wherever you are
The same program we run in our Corona office, delivered by video. A licensed provider evaluates you, prescribes when it’s clinically appropriate, and follows you at regular intervals – the same provider each time, not whoever is next in the queue.
We have been treating weight loss since 2011. Telehealth changed where the visit happens. It did not change how the care works.
What we prescribe
We prescribe FDA-approved medications and send them to your pharmacy or to the manufacturer’s self-pay program – you are never locked into ours. Which medication depends on your history, your labs, your other conditions and what you tolerate.
Options include GLP-1 and dual-receptor medications taken by injection or by mouth. Your provider will walk you through what fits, including what each one actually costs, before anything is prescribed.
If you can’t tolerate the standard starting dose
Some patients cannot tolerate the lowest commercially available strength of an approved GLP-1 – usually because of nausea or other gastrointestinal effects that make the standard titration schedule unworkable.
Where that is the case, your provider may prescribe a lower individualized dose prepared by a licensed 503A compounding pharmacy. This is a clinical decision made for a specific patient, not a program we advertise or a cheaper alternative to approved medication. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. If you can tolerate an approved product, that is what you will be prescribed.
What telehealth can and can’t do
Telehealth works well for weight management: history, labs, prescribing, titration and follow-up all translate to video.
What it can’t do is prescribe controlled substances. Phentermine, Didrex, Tenuate and Bontril are only available where you can be evaluated in person. If those are what you are looking for, see our medical weight loss program.
You also need to be physically located in a state where your provider is licensed at the time of your visit. Tell us if you move or travel.

How Wegovy® Works
Wegovy® is semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist. It mimics a hormone your gut already produces after eating — the one that tells your brain you’ve had enough and slows how quickly your stomach empties. The result is feeling full sooner and staying full longer.
It’s FDA-approved for chronic weight management in adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition, and separately to reduce cardiovascular risk in adults with known heart disease and obesity or overweight.
Key Benefits:
What to expect:
- Weekly self-injection at home, with dose increases over several months
- Regular follow-up visits to monitor progress and adjust
- Nausea and other gastrointestinal effects are common early and usually improve with slower titration

Why patients choose us over an app
The same provider every visit. Not a rotating panel, not whoever’s next in the queue. Someone who remembers how you responded to the last dose increase.
We’re not a pharmacy. Your prescription goes wherever you want it — your local pharmacy, or the manufacturer’s self-pay program. We don’t make money on the medication, so there’s no reason to steer you.
We manage what the medication doesn’t. Hormones, thyroid, nutrition — the things that also drive weight and get missed when weight loss is all a company does.
A real clinic behind the screen. We’ve been in Corona since 2011. If you’re local you can come in; if you’re not, you’re still seeing the same practice, not a call center.

Your Next Step to Wellness with Zepbound®
The medications we prescribe
Zepbound® and Wegovy® are weekly injections you give yourself at home. Both are FDA-approved for chronic weight management.
If you’d rather not inject, there are now two oral options. Oral Wegovy® is a daily semaglutide tablet, taken on an empty stomach with a small amount of water. Foundayo® (orforglipron) is a daily tablet with no food or timing restrictions at all — the newest of the four, approved in 2026.
Which one fits depends on your history, your labs, what you can tolerate, and what your insurance or the manufacturer’s self-pay program will cover. We’ll go through all of it before anything is prescribed.
Key Benefits:
- Weekly self-injections at home, with dose increases over several months.
- Regular follow-up visits to monitor progress and adjust.
- Nausea and other gastrointestinal effects are common early and usually improve with slower titration.
- Results vary considerably between individuals.
How Zepbound® Works
Zepbound® activates two receptors, GLP-1 and GIP, which together influence appetite and how your body handles glucose. It is FDA-approved for chronic weight management in adults with obesity, or overweight with a weight-related condition. Whether it’s appropriate for you depends on your history – that’s what the consultation is for.
Why Slender Me Medical?

Is This a Conversation Worth Having?
1. Have you struggled to lose weight with diet and exercise alone?
2. Do you have a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition?
3. Are you free from a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2
4. Are you currently pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant?
These aren’t qualifying criteria – your provider makes that determination after a full evaluation. They’re just the questions that come up first.
